High School Students

Jay High School students and parents, I hope all of you are doing well and staying safe.  I miss each and every one of you and look forward to seeing you again.  State Superintendent Hofmeister has directed schools to begin delivering lessons to all students on April 6th.  Due to all school buildings being closed, we will be providing instruction remotely.  I'm going to address four different groups of students so please read carefully for your specific instructions.  For those of you who have internet or access to the internet and a device, you can expect an email from your teachers on or before April 6th. That will come to your school email address. Your teachers will be providing you with meaningful and enriching activities that will cover 2 weeks. More will come after that 2 week window. For those of you who have a device but no access to the internet, there are three free hotspots in Jay. Jay First Assembly parking lot, JB Earp Stadium parking lot, and The Robinette's Center parking lot. For those of you who have internet, but no device, the school will loan you one.  You will need to contact us to make arrangements to reserve one and pick it up on Thursday, April 2nd or Friday April 3rd.  For those of you who do not have internet and are unable to get to one of the hot spots, you may request a physical packet.  You will need to call and let us know that you need one and make arrangements to pick it up. Those packets will be available for pick up on Monday, April 6th from 1:00-4:00. For those needing a device or a physical packet, please call Monday, March 30th or Tuesday, March 31st from 9:00-12:00 or 1:00-4:00. The number to call is 918-253-4466.  Please tell whoever answers the phone that you either need to 1. Check out a device or 2. Request a physical packet.  The devices will be checked out to students or parents in front of the high school, curbside, on Thursday, April 2nd and Friday April 3rd from 9:00-12:00. We are doing our very best to make certain that your education continues and is meaningful as well as enriching. We are Bulldog Strong and we will get through this together.  Go Bulldogs!
